Position Description:
NetSEA Technologies is seeking to fill a Senior Satellite Communication (SATCOM) Engineer position to support PEO C3T Tactical Network systems. Qualified candidates may be hired to serve in various departments or roles that align with their expertise and organizational needs. Clearance Level: US Citizen and with active Secret clearance (preferred)
Location: Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD
Hours: Normal business hours Monday – Friday
Hybrid Eligible: Yes-as determined by agency policy
Travel: Upto 25%
Roles/Responsibilities:
As a SATCOM Engineer you will use your expertise to:
Provide in-depth technical assessments and analysis of activities within and between programs.
Support the design of system architectures, terminals, waveforms and access protocols.
Support analysis of system performance, throughput and response time, analysis of operational requirements and system loading.
Conduct systems engineering evaluations of satellite and terminal designs.
Participate in proposal and technical evaluations for satellite systems.
Support design reviews and perform evaluation of satellite and terminal contractor designs.
Effectively coordinate within and outside of PM TN
You Have:
BS in Engineering (Preferred), Testing or related field
A minimum of ten (10) years of SATCOM engineering experience.
Subject matter expert in all aspects of transmission, to include modulation and coding, link budgets, radio frequency equipment, antennas, waveforms, blockage mitigation and other algorithms/protocols.
Subject Matter Expert of systems engineering methods and processes in order to perform SATCOM system analysis and evaluations for both commercial and military systems.
Knowledge of Military Standards (MIL-STDs) and certification processes.
Familiar with customer/vendor product development, business proposals, marketing interaction, product design and manufacturing processes.
Ability to translate complex technical issues into meaningful terms for others involved.
