Position Description:
NetSEA Technologies is seeking to fill multiple System Engineer positions to support PEO C3T Tactical Network systems. Qualified candidates may be hired to serve in various departments or roles that align with their expertise and organizational needs. Clearance Level: US Citizen and with active Secret clearance (preferred)

Location: Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD

Hours: Normal business hours Monday – Friday

Hybrid Eligible: Yes-as determined by agency policy

Travel: This position involves approximately 25% travel.

Roles/Responsibilities:

As a System Engineer you will use your expertise to

Perform systems engineering processes, procedures, and best practices.

Provide engineering expertise to activities such as development, testing, evaluating, training and configuration management in support of an acquisition program.

Provide engineering support on the transport and networking architecture focused on current and future tactical network capabilities.

Support design reviews and perform thorough, in-depth technical evaluations and assessments of network performance and architectures, to include support of risk assessments and integration strategies.

Support Capability Set (CS) and Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) activities.

Provide technical support to evaluate and integrate new technologies to modernize communications. Effectively collaborate with organizations to include, but not limited to PEO C3T, other PMs and PdMs, ACM and other Army wide stakeholders and coordinate on interoperability considerations.

Review and understand acquisition documentation (e.g. mission needs statements, operational needs statements, Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Capability Production Documents (CPDs), technical specifications, etc.) for Army tactical communications systems and translate those requirements to support the development of technical solutions that are standards-based and cost efficient.

Review Government performance work statements and contractor proposals for technical accuracy and to ensure requirements are met.

You Have:

BS in Engineering (Preferred), Testing or related field

A minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of tactical network systems engineering experience. BS may be substituted with an additional 7 years of related experience performing tactical network systems engineering functions.

Proven systems engineering expertise should include, but not be limited to:

• Experience in network engineering

• Experience in designing and implementing LANs or VLANs

• Experience with routing protocols, multicast, routing configurations, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, etc.

• Experience with network protocol analysis using tools such as Sniffer or Wireshark

• Experience with VMware

• Knowledge of commercial communications equipment

• Knowledge of transport and network architectures

• Knowledge of end-to-end network design and performance

• Knowledge of voice/data transmission and backbone networks

• Knowledge of RF engineering

• Knowledge of tactical communications systems

Nice if you have:

Have or obtain within 6 months: active DoD 8570/8140 level two baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security). Also, certifications relevant to the systems you will use (e.g. VMWare, Cisco devices, NetAPP, etc.)

Knowledge of Army organization structure and Unit Task Organization concepts.
