• Responsible for recommending the network architecture/design for the testing of C5ISR communication equipment. Sought after to recommend system of system configuration for thorough testing of customer products.
• Relied on as interoperability SME for the network. Support customer in determining what the architecture should look like and impacts when overall network is modified.
• Understanding of how the Army is implementing wireless networks. Ability to articulate the benefits or impacts of implementing network recommendations to meet Army objectives through experimentation.
• Understand Army’s Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) architecture. Digest current issues, recommend solutions and translate that solution into a testable architecture.
• Basic knowledge of Army Tactical Vehicles.
• Understand operational usage of C5ISR communication equipment to develop test cases/scenarios to realistically capture network data flow. Interface with customer to understand products and equipment usage to suggest test configuration.
• Participates in customer communications, requirements determination, and project proposal/cost estimate creation for design and development projects.
• Keeps senior managers informed of all significant issues and external taskers. Provides authoritative information and advice within the area of assignment.
• Responsible for managing cost, technical, performance and schedule issues to ensure high quality products for the Army.
